 Halo Infinite: The Repository

MY CONTRIBUTIONS:

Responsible for the Level Design work for the Repository. This includes:

  • Blocking in Geometry (block out phase) and iteration on player flow/pathing

  • Documenting and pitching level beats (Narrative Moments, Objectives, Combat Encounters etc.)

  • Level Scripting to stand up encounters, level streaming, checkpoints, etc.

  • Cover placements (Line of Sight blockers) as well as weapon pick ups/placements

  • Worked closely with Art on new objects required for the level experience

  • Worked very closely with Narrative on this level, there were a lot of Narrative beats to hit

  • Worked within constraints of re-using rooms as much as possible while still creating a unique and fun experience

Top Down Layout

Level flow and room documentation/listing. This was mainly done for adjacent team visibility so we know which room are being reused and needed variations etc.
